Bethany Nickerson, LMSW is passionate about empowering people to experience meaningful change and growth and find their authentic selves. She uses a compassionate, strength-based approach in working with adults and adolescents who are dealing with life transitions, identity, grief/loss, addiction, anxiety, depression, stress, infertility, and trauma (including sexual violence and reproductive trauma). Bethany provides holistic individualized therapy that combines evidence based interventions and creativity to support clients as they navigate life’s complex challenges.
Her therapeutic approach utilizes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), acceptance based mindfulness exercises, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She is a firm believer in the mind body connection and its ability to help people heal. Bethany believes clients are the experts on their own experience and she enjoys collaborating with them to reach their goals, to establish coping skills that work in their everyday lives, and to help them to recognize and strengthen their own resilience.
Bethany completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at Southern Utah University and her Master of Social Work with a graduate certificate in women’s health at the University of Utah.
