Valerie Capili, LMSW
Hi, I’m Valerie. I’m a therapist who supports individuals in their life journeys. I work with adults around issues of trauma, abuse, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationships, identity, and sexuality. I approach therapy from feminist, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based lenses.
What I Do
As a therapist, I aim to provide a non-judgmental and safe space for you to process thoughts, feelings, and experiences. In our work together, I hope to help you navigate any stressors, challenges, and/or difficult dynamics you are facing. It can be helpful to identify how these stressors are affecting your mind, body, and spirit, and how it fits into the overall narrative of your past, present, and future.
How I Help
In my work I integrate aspects of psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we can work together to find what modalities fit best with your needs.
More About Me
