What I Do

Hi, my name is Julie. I am a licensed social worker at Cobb Psychotherapy LCSW. As a therapist, I believe in creating a safe, warm, non-judgmental, and productive experience for all of my clients.  I am a true believer in a collaborative therapy experience where each client feels supported and part of a problem-solving team. Life can be tricky sometimes! My job is to help each client circumnavigate the challenges that they are facing and work on designing the best plan to reach their goals and find solutions.

How I Help

I became a social worker because of my passion for working collaboratively with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families to work towards objectives. Because of this, I am a firm believer that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process! I work with each client to understand who they are and what they need from the therapeutic process. I utilize aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) by helping clients recognize and change automatic thoughts. I try to introduce new skills and exercises to help clients manage symptoms and reach their goals.

More About Me

In my spare time I love to explore NYC and pet all of the dogs I pass along the way! I can never turn down a Netflix-binge or a big bowl of pasta. When the weather is warm you can usually find me soaking up the sunshine with a good book!
