Hey, I’m Kaylen! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I work with individuals who are interested in improving their mental health, developing their self-esteem, and managing their emotions. I address topics such as stress management, life transitions, communication strategies, and relationship issues.

What I Do

I became a therapist because I believe that therapy is something that can be beneficial to everyone! I want to help people navigate challenges in their lives, feel heard, and create meaningful relationships. I approach my work through a client-centered, anti-oppressive, trauma informed lens.

How I Help

I believe that therapy is collaborative, and I want to work with you to determine what will work best. I use a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to affect change. Depending on what you’re interested in addressing I utilize elements of psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness. I’m also in the process of becoming certified in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing.

More About Me

I’m also the assistant director of a domestic violence counseling program. When I’m not working, I’m usually sitting on the couch with my cat, reading my horoscope, listening to a true crime podcast, or spending time outside. I wouldn’t call myself a runner or a skateboarder, but I do a little of both.
