At Cobb Psychotherapy LCSW we focus on transitions. Throughout our lives, no matter our age or stage of life, we are constantly growing and transitioning. Change can be exciting, but also challenging and scary. When we are faced with the opportunity for change we often get “decision paralysis.” While it’s wonderful to have so many choices, it also makes it really hard to choose! Instead of worrying about finding the “right” decision, we help clients to trust themselves and their inner resources to find one of many possible solutions.  We help our clients transition to college, become independent young adults, start or change careers, deal with breakups, change relationships with families, and much more.

In addition to the “fork in the road” moments, many clients report feeling a general lack of “purpose” in their lives. We help clients explore their true selves so they can live authentically and be satisfied in their personal and professional lives.

Some common transitions we help clients navigate are:

  • Adjusting to life in a new city

  • Becoming a parent

  • Ending or starting relationships

  • Getting their first job or changing careers

  • Leaving home to attend college and living independently

  • The Quarter Life Crisis
